Illamasqua's Human Fundamentalism Collection FOTD: Smoked Purple Look

 Hello Beautiful People,

 Feeling a little purple today. So I decided to translate that into a beautiful look using Illamasqua's Fundamental Palette and gloss in Fierce. I'm certainly in love with the pigment in Illamasqua that is no surprise what you see is certainly what you get. Check out the rest of the collection below (which I'm tempted to get the rest God help me) as well as another purple look that Illamasqua created for their campaign.

So to  subdue the brightness of the Fierce Lip gloss on my lip I first lined and filled in my lips with the Inception shadow (purple) that is in the palette then I layered a thin layer of the Fierce lip gloss in the middle of both the top and lower lip and pressed them together.

For my eyes I put Inception all over the lid using my eye shader brush (Royal and Langnickel Silk Pro) and in the crease I used liquid metal Surge from the palette and with my smudge brush and blended it half way into my crease and up just a smidgen. I then lined my eyes with MAC Graphblack pencil and finished my eyes off with MAC False Lashes Extreme Black.

 For my face I used the usual suspects Make Up For Ever Primer #4, HD Foundation in color 178 and HD concealer in #365. I didn't use powder on my face as the weather is wreaking havoc on my skin, but on a normal day I'd finish everything off with Kevyn Aucoin Gossamer powder and Make Up For Ever Mist spray.

Kevyn Aucoin Sample Sale Part Deux! THIS FRIDAY ONLY!!!

            Get ready I've been notified that Kevyn Aucoin beauty will be holding one final sample sale for the year THIS FRIDAY!!! Yes I'm excited too. MAC Me Over Lip Swatches

      Wanted to share some of the MAC Me Over Collection that I purchased particularly the lip products which predominantly were neutral tones that you can use on most complexions. I was impressed that I loved so many items in one collection. I also purchased shadows which I've already swatched here.            I'm so excited and even privilege to have been able to play in the art that is Kevin Aucoin's beauty line as result of the sample sale that took place this past week. There is another sale taking place on Aug 11th and 12th at 56 West 22nd street on the 2nd floor tell em Miss Merli sent you :). You will certainly not be disappointed and you will be helped by the amazing Danny and Desiree. I wanted to share swatches of the many items that I swatched at the sale. I believe the only thing I didn't was foundations, but let me tell you about it the foundation is a full coverage one which can be sheered at with their amazing primer or your daily facial moisturizer to your liking. The Pencil eye shadows might be the one thing I'd leave if you were on a budget. Not for beginners since you have to manipulate the colors wet.

If you love blush in all colors this is for you. For my beautiful brown, dark skin sistah's I die this is for you. Great blend-ability so don't be frightened just blend blend blend if you want the color to be lighter.

Love these shadows very pigmented and the wear is long without eye primer, great for all day or all night wear

Palettes 1- 6 and the Spring Palette are very pigmented and the colors vary so you can't go wrong if you're starting your own kit. I love these shadows wet to get the most from the colors.

That big momma in the middle is now my favorite brush to finish everything off. If you have no brushes I would invest in these brushes expensive but worth it.

This sale was a beautiful beautiful one! I hauled with the help of the amazing Danny and wonderful Desiree I've dubbed them the Kevyn Aucoin D'Angels. I wanted to share with you some pics of the amazing product that was for sale. My haul ill share in another post later.

 P.S. If you get nothing else at this sale make sure that you get the Gorgeous highly pigmented shadows which are $5 yes I said it $5 dollars a pot. The blushes are $10 dollars! Get em! The glosses which are in lovely pots and include a retractable lip brush (I die) which are $5 and $10 dollars... OMGEE I can keep going on the white pencil a steal at $2 dollars! So many exclamation points!!!! The black pencil is the Queen of the ball (price I can't remember) if you don't get it you would've dropped the ball because guess what...hold your heads... its better than MAC's Smolder...Gasp! It's the darkest black pencil I've ever swatched in my life. Yup UD Zero can't hold it either, neither MUFE black pencil. It's that serious!
