Willow Smith Whips Her Style Back & Forth

Did you see Willow Smith on the BET Awards red carpet, her very eclectic choice in fashion as well as her newly shaven head?  She is truly living up to her break out song "Whip My Hair". Some say her parents Will and Jada have allowed for her to go too far, while others believe a youth should be able to freely express themselves. What's my take? Well I'm on the fence. Mostly because I grew up with a mom who always said " You're not going outside looking any kind of way because you're a reflection of me".  On the flip side I do believe fashion freedom is very much apart of growing up, and exercising true confidence in ones self. When it comes to hair my motto is this "Hair grows back, so get over it".   What do you think of her style?

Karen's Body Beautiful & Curlbox Meet and Greet

What a hot day it was, on line for about an hour as I witnessed beautiful natural hair glamazons patiently waiting to get into the meet and greet that was hosted at Karen's Body Beautiful in Brooklyn alongside Myliek of Curlbox. I didn't have to wait in line of course but it was a sight to see so many die hard fans of two powerful black owned brands, that cater specifically for us but can be used by everyone. Karen was in awe and almost busted a tear as she was just taken aback by the vision of line that wrapped around the corner, she and Myliek broke out the water bottles and handed them out, to ensure that no one was dehydrated. As I got inside I got a glimpse of what made Karen's Body Beautiful products so amazing, all the products that were in jars and bottles had been made right in the store. I saw huge pots in the back some with product cooling down in them. Where they do that at? Everyone who attended only had great things to say and smiles on their faces. Must have items I was told to try are the Lucious Locks Hair Mask, Super Duper Hair Creme, and Sweet Ambrosia Leave in Conditioner. I'd be remise if I didn't say that there must be something about Karen...

Curls Unleashed: Recap

Hello Beautiful People,

Yes there is more! See now you understand why it took me so long to get all these posts up, I went to a lot of events and took tons of photos. I haven't even tried out all the products I received and I like to be very on point with my posts. Any who Curls Unleashed was the launching pad for a new product line from Organic Root Stimulator for you guessed it Naturalistas looking for something affordable and dare I say it... That actually works! Well I'm here to say that I'm a believer  and I'm so lucky to have finally found a product that not only works but is created by a woman of color who knows exactly what we need. The best thing about Curls Unleashed is the fact that the product line is AFFORDABLE! Yes as a newly crowned naturalista I have found that being natural is almost as costly as keeping a good relaxer and thats only because I've spent a lot of money finding products that work. So no more! Now I have found my hair regime in Curls Unleashed Thank God my wallet couldn't take another hit.

Things That Make Me Go Ooh La La: My Week in Photos Dec 18-29

 Hello Beautiful People,

Wow it seems like just yesterday the year just started and like every year I declare the year is that of mine. While I feel like I fail at my attempt to so call "breakout" and make the year mine I can always look back and see that I've made a dent in my life goals, some are accomplished others are still pending but nevertheless, I'm always satisfied in the fact that I continually grow and thank God that I don't remain the same. So many changes made, new beginnings, endings, and the story still goes on but I can't wait to continue the journey in 2012. For now I just want to share with you how my last two weeks of the year pan out. Talk to you later beautiful people, see you next year.
