Kevyn Aucoin Sample Sale Part Deux! THIS FRIDAY ONLY!!!

            Get ready I've been notified that Kevyn Aucoin beauty will be holding one final sample sale for the year THIS FRIDAY!!! Yes I'm excited too. If you remember I hauled a whole lot of makeup for my kit from them back in the summertime see here. I swatched almost everything they had except the foundation will I will make my business to do this time around for future reference if you're in the NYC area or close by make sure to make a visit because you will not be disappointed I promise you.            I'm so excited and even privilege to have been able to play in the art that is Kevin Aucoin's beauty line as result of the sample sale that took place this past week. There is another sale taking place on Aug 11th and 12th at 56 West 22nd street on the 2nd floor tell em Miss Merli sent you :). You will certainly not be disappointed and you will be helped by the amazing Danny and Desiree. I wanted to share swatches of the many items that I swatched at the sale. I believe the only thing I didn't was foundations, but let me tell you about it the foundation is a full coverage one which can be sheered at with their amazing primer or your daily facial moisturizer to your liking. I will review my foundation as well as my haul in a future post. Just FYI if there is a <3 next to an item that is my icon to say I love it :)

The Pencil eye shadows might be the one thing I'd leave if you were on a budget. Not for beginners since you have to manipulate the colors wet.

If you love blush in all colors this is for you. For my beautiful brown, dark skin sistah's I die this is for you. Great blend-ability so don't be frightened just blend blend blend if you want the color to be lighter.

Love these shadows very pigmented and the wear is long without eye primer, great for all day or all night wear

Palettes 1- 6 and the Spring Palette are very pigmented and the colors vary so you can't go wrong if you're starting your own kit. I love these shadows wet to get the most from the colors.

That big momma in the middle is now my favorite brush to finish everything off. If you have no brushes I would invest in these brushes expensive but worth it.

I love the Gossamer loose powder also a favorite of Oprah and the Sensual Skin Enhancer a little goes a long way mixed with primer or foundation which FYI love the little primer to carry in my beauty kit

This sale was a beautiful beautiful one! I hauled with the help of the amazing Danny and wonderful Desiree I've dubbed them the Kevyn Aucoin D'Angels. I wanted to share with you some pics of the amazing product that was for sale. My haul ill share in another post later.

 P.S. If you get nothing else at this sale make sure that you get the Gorgeous highly pigmented shadows which are $5 yes I said it $5 dollars a pot. The blushes are $10 dollars! Get em! The glosses which are in lovely pots and include a retractable lip brush (I die) which are $5 and $10 dollars... OMGEE I can keep going on the white pencil a steal at $2 dollars! So many exclamation points!!!! The black pencil is the Queen of the ball (price I can't remember) if you don't get it you would've dropped the ball because guess what...hold your heads... its better than MAC's Smolder...Gasp! It's the darkest black pencil I've ever swatched in my life. Yup UD Zero can't hold it either, neither MUFE black pencil. It's that serious!

Bringing you news of anotha sample sale taking place in NYC. Alexander Wang designer's Resort and Spring 11 lines, as well as Wang's signature T offerings and accessories are up to 70% off. In other news Housing Works is also back with their all you can stuff in your Bag 25 dollar sale. Warning! This is not for the meek of thrift shoppers as the amount of clothing and people is bananas. I went with a group of 9 ladies and it was good that we did it that way because 2 or more is always better than one. Introduced to this sale by Ms. Patrice Fly on A Dime she had some great tips that you can check out here.

I've been lucky to sample a few of the late legendary artist's products at the makeup show in may (click here to see what I purchased) If you'd like to discover it I have just the event for you... Kevyn Aucoin beauty is having it's first ever sample sale this Friday and Saturday from 2-7 pm  on both days. The location is 56 W. 22nd Street on the 2nd floor.
